The controller (1) has a cam (2) i.e. three-dimensional cam, rotationally movable around a rotational axis (w), and displaceable axial to the rotational axis. An arm (4) e.g. rocker arm, opens and closes a valve (3). The arm rotatably oscillates around a transverse axis (y) in correspondence with a cam profile of the cam. A contact section (14) is formed at the arm. The contact section contacts the cam in an angle position of the cam. The arm is mounted rotatably around a longitudinal axis, and immovably around a vertical axis (z).
