The system (1) has an optical guide device (10) comprising spotlights (11, 12, 13) for sending light beams (14, 15, 16). A position of the optical guide device at a rail (9) and alignment of the light beams are adjusted by a control unit (23) such that one light beam indicates a position taken by a commissioning vehicle (6). Another light beam marks a preset shelf compartment (4) and/or a container (8) or a component in an optical manner. A third light beam marks a preset container retainer (7) of the commissioning vehicle and/or the container or the component in an optical manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing a commissioning process by a commissioning system.
