The injector has a pilot valve (90) which communicates through discharge outlet (58) on the injector main portion (1). A first nozzle valve (20) is formed in a first nozzle needle (22), so that first nozzle chamber (24) on the injector main portion is selectively relieved of pressure. A second nozzle valve (40) is provided in the second nozzle needle (42) through which second nozzle chamber (44) on the injector is selectively relieved of pressure. The nozzle chambers are to the injector through high-pressure inlet (30). An independent claim is included for fuel injection device.
