The oil pan (10) has a pan bottom (14) and a peripheral wall (16), where a force redirecting element (26) is integrally connected with the peripheral wall. The force redirecting element has a positioning area (28), on which the oil pan is fitted while placing, and a force application area (30), which is connected with the peripheral wall. The force, which acts on the positioning area when placing the oil pan, is uniformly introduced in the peripheral wall and the pan bottom with the force application area.
