The reflection-free optical system has optical mirrors (FF1-FF3) which are arranged in a common optical path and used for lighting and for observation and/or documentation of eye to be examined. The optical mirrors are provided with respective optical surfaces (S4-S6) for realizing three reflections. The optical path is almost rotationally symmetric both in the pupil picture plane and in the field picture plane.
