The component (10) has an optical diffuser element (2) fixed downstream to a radiation-emitting semiconductor chip (1) in a radiation pattern and comprising an asymmetric scattering profile. The optical diffuser element has an optical transparency and an optical diffuse effect based on a viewing angle. The optical diffuser element is made of directed transparent fibers (3) and designed as a film. A housing (4) surrounds the semiconductor chip, and the optical diffuser element is appropriate at a side (4a) of the housing, where the side faces the semiconductor chip. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an optoelectronic semiconductor component.
