The system (10) has a mobile radio unit (30) e.g. mobile telephone, provided with a communication interface (32) for communication with a key interface (22) and a radio interface (34). A receiver unit (40) is provided with a receiver interface (42) for communication with the radio interface and arranged in a vehicle (100). The mobile radio unit stores an executable program (36) to remote controlling the function of the vehicle. A control authority unit (24) is stored in a mobile key unit (20) for release a remote control that is available in the mobile radio unit. An independent claim is also included for an inspection procedure for remote controlling a function of a vehicle.
