The method involves converting safety-critical process relevant data of redundant processing channels to a secure protocol. The redundant secure protocols are assembled fro single-channel connection to common protocol. The code sequences are generated by the two code sequence generators (6,7). Each code sequence generator is configured to generate a contiguous portion of the code word, such that the code word is combined with bus-specific constants in the logic unit (9) of the bus connection (2). An independent claim is included for arrangement for single-channel coupling of safety-critical process from secure environment to bus system in non-secure environment.
