The device has a compressor (7) driven by a high-efficient direct current motor (6) for feeding pressurized air into a compressed air tank (8) during a charging process. A pump (14) transmits heat energy developed during compression in the pressurized air to liquid in a thermal insulated container (5). A multistage gas expansion motor (9) removes the air from the tank and a generator (10) downstream to the expansion motor for creation of electrical power during a discharge process. The pump transmits thermal energy in the pressurized air before or during expansion, stored in the liquid. The thermal insulated container is a warm water container. The generator is a net-coupled synchronous generator. The gas expansion motor is a multistage piston, a circular piston or a sliding-vane motor. An independent claim is also included for a method for charging and discharging of energy storage of electric power in a wind turbine and a photovoltaic system.
