The method involves reducing the temperature of an inverter during load changes in the inverter (5), where the reduction in temperature of the inverter takes place using a control and regulating unit formed for dynamic control of a voltage of an intermediate circuit (4). The control and regulating unit allows reduction in temperature by supplying a control signal from an output of an electrical filter to the inverter, where an actual value of the intermediate circuit voltage is provided to an input of the electrical filter. An independent claim is also included for an electrical system.
