The contactor has fixed and moving contacts fixed at a contact carrier. A movable armature (2) is coupled with the contact carrier and arranged opposite to a yoke (3). An armature return spring and a solenoid coil (4) are arranged between the movable armature and the yoke. A magnet (5) i.e. permanent magnet, is placed in the contactor such that the magnet is operatively connected with the armature. The magnet is formed such that the contactor is provided with a tripping characteristic according to NFC 63-110. The armature, the yoke and the coil are arranged in a housing (1).
