The method involves determining the comparison image data by evaluating all the projection images based on analytic reconstruction and subsequent forward projection in a target object (1) at a target area (3) so as to determine the reliability of the projection image data of the projection images pixel-wise consistency descriptive information for each pixel of each projection image. The consistency of information is determined by comparing the projection image data with the associated comparison data. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an X-ray device; and (2) a computer program for evaluating n-dimensional projection images of target object.
