The sample injection needle (800) has a needle body (802) and a needle lumen (804) with a cross-sectional surface for conducting fluid sample which is formed in the needle body. Another needle lumen (806) is provided with another cross-sectional surface for conducting the fluid sample. The latter cross-sectional surface, particularly at a fluid receiving end (814) of the needle body, is smaller than the former cross-sectional surface. Independent claims are included for the following; (1) a sample injection device with a sample receiving unit; (2) a measuring device with a sample separating path; and (3) a method for manufacturing a sample injection needle.
