The method involves providing a matrix material (202) comprising a catalyst (204). The matrix material is mixed with the filler (200) for producing a synthesis mixture. The carbon nano-tubes (206) in the synthesis mixture contained in the catalyst is synthesized to obtain the composite powder having a homogeneous synthesis mixture and the carbon nano-tubes. The synthesis is carried out by a fluidized bed reactor. The composite powder is removed from the reactor vessel.
