The method involves determining the current reference driving parameter of driver corresponding to the target parameter with respect to the driving behavior of vehicle. The current reference driving parameter is compared with the target parameter to obtain the deviation over preset period between current reference driving parameter and target parameter to obtain the accumulation information of trends over the deviation time. The accumulation information about trends is provided through an interface (114) for characterizing the driving behavior.
