The flange has flange rings (5a, 5b) connected with one another by a screw connection and comprising upwardly aligned and downwardly aligned tubular projections (6a, 6b), respectively. Moldings are formed for form-fit fixing of the respective flange rings. The moldings are combed with one another in a form-fit manner through rotation of the flange rings around a longitudinal axis of a tower. One of the moldings forms a groove that runs parallel to a flange plane, where the flange plane lies perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a tower.
