The apparatus (1) has an inlet portion (2) comprising an inlet (4), and an outlet portion (3) comprising an outlet (5). A filter insert (6) is fitted with a filter medium (12). The inlet communicates with an input side of the outlet. A reinforcement is arranged with a strut (7). The filter insert comprises a connecting element (8) for arrangement of the inlet portion and the outlet portion at the strut in which the filter insert penetrates. The strut is supported in an axially non-displaceable manner in the filter insert.
