The method involves supplying steam gas to a particle filter (12). The sound waves produced by the flow of steam gas are detected, where the particle filter is closed based on the resulting sound waves. The sound waves are detected by using a microphone (28) in a frequency range from 0 hertz to 14 kilo hertz. A device (18) is provided that pressurizes the particle filter with the flow of steam gas, where the microphone is placed in a spacing (30) of the device. The steam gas is supplied to the particle filter through a nozzle (22). An independent claim is included for a particle filter assembly with a device for pressurizing the particle filter.
