The method involves attaching the radio frequency identification (RFID) tags (RT) to person (P1) and/or moving object such as industrial robot (R1). A detecting device is used for detecting the spatial positions of RFID tags with respect to a reference point. An evaluation unit determines the position and movement of human and/or robot in real-time according to the spatial distribution of RFID tags. An independent claim is included for detection system for detecting humans and/or moving objects.
