The method involves simulation of an action e.g. braking intervention, of a driver assistance system in a set of given traffic conditions (10). A set of scenarios (12, 16) is determined for one given traffic condition in the set of given traffic conditions by utilizing a Monte Carlo simulation. A motor vehicle parameter e.g. violation risk, with regard each of the set of given traffic conditions is determined. A control function of the motor vehicle is transferred between a rider and the corresponding driver assistance system. An independent claim is also included for a testing apparatus.
