The device (10) has a hollow cylindrical base element (12) which defines an axial direction and is provided with a first supporting surface (14) for supporting on first component. A hollow cylindrical compensation element (28) is provided with second support surface (30) for supporting on second component, and is threadedly engaged with base element. The base element in the axial direction is extended on both sides of first support surface. The first supporting surface is formed by underside of a collar of the base element, and is turned away from the second supporting surface.
