The separate coolant circuit is provided with a cylinder head coolant jacket (2) and a cylinder block coolant jacket (3). A common pump (4), a cooler (6), a control element (7) and a heater (9) are provided, where the cylinder head coolant jacket has an outlet housing (8). The common pump conveys coolant to an inlet of the cylinder head coolant jacket without directly connected to an inlet of the cylinder block coolant jacket. A block line (25) is directly arranged at the outlet housing.
