The method involves determining a measurement value of radio signal to each signal characteristic. The radio signal is classified with respect to signal feature in each decision node of a decision tree (4-1-4-n) based on the determined measurement value and certain range limitations starting with first decision node. The following decision node of decision tree is successively classified, in response to classification of previous decision node. The radio signal is classified as signal class, if decision node clearly classifies that the radio signal belongs to signal class. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for classifying radio signal to signal class in decision node of decision tree; and (2) a computer program product comprising computer-readable storage medium storing program for classifying radio signal to signal class in decision node of decision tree.
