The detector (22) has a complex operation unit that is intended for generating a complex signal series by performing a complex operation on a received known signal series so as to cancel a phase rotation component that is imposed on the received known signal series by orthogonal transformation. A correlation operation unit (42) calculates a set of distributions. A peak detection unit detects a carrier frequency error from a relative position offset according to distributions with maximum peak of the signal series.
