The method involves determining a reduced coordinate system and a transformation matrix for transformation from a coordinate system into the reduced coordinate system. A reduced model describing a structure of components of an output model in the reduced system is produced. A deformed structure of components i.e. T-connection (1), of the reduced model is determined, and contact forces acting at contact surfaces (4, 4') are determined based on contact law. The forces are applied to the reduced model, where the reduced model is outputted with the deformed structure. An independent claim is also included for a computer device-readable medium with instructions for executing a method for determination of rigidity of arrangement of components.
