The friction clutch (1) has a counter-pressure plate and pressing plate (2) which are connected to housing (4) via plate spring (6). The pressing plate is axially supported on the housing against the counter-pressure plate based on the action of the plate spring along disengaging path (h) between a fully disengaged condition of friction clutch and operating state in which friction clutch is engaged to cup spring (3). The tangential force of plate spring is set to minimum with respect to half distance of disengaging path, in a new state of friction clutch.
