The tubular hydrophone comprises piezoelectric film (102) which is fixed to inner surface of cylindrical wall of hollow, closed and empty tube (101). The tube is formed of mechanically anisotropic material whose modulus of elasticity and Poisson's ratio in circumferential direction of tube are greater than modulus of elasticity and Poisson's ratio in direction of longitudinal axis of tube. The tube wall is formed of glass fiber and is embedded in epoxy resin. The film is formed of polyvinylidene fluoride.
