The stretcher (10) has a bed (22) placed according to a longitudinal axis (L). A barrier (24) and another barrier (26) are placed on both sides of the bed according to the longitudinal axis. The former barrier includes a body provided with a tube (36) having two ends, and another tube (38). A hanger (42) includes a portion slidably mounted in the former tube, and another portion slidably mounted in the latter tube, where the length of the former barrier is regulated by displacement of the hanger compared to the body.
