The device (1) has a shelf (2) including an elastic return unit i.e. spring (12), for a central flap (5) folding back against a front flap. A reversible locking unit locks the shelf in a use configuration. Cabinetworks (3) include an interlocking unit (10) intended to cooperate with the locking unit. The locking unit is arranged to disengage from the interlocking unit when subjected to a force exerted upwardly. A hinge is arranged to prevent rotation of a rear flap (7) upward from overlapping configuration, so that unlocking is carried out by raising the rear flap by a user.
