Implantable-type system for measuring electrophysiological signal generated by e.g. retina, has calculating unit estimating parameter of electrical equivalent model of interface, and correction circuit applying function to measured signal
The system has an electrode measuring an electrophysiological signal (Vmes) generated by a biological tissue (TB). A measuring block or impedance circuit generates an electrical excitation signal, and measures a response of the tissue to the excitation signal. A calculating unit estimates a parameter of an electrical equivalent model of an interface (INT) between the system and the tissue from knowledge of the excitation signal and the response, and determines a correction function using the model. A correction circuit applies the function to the measured electrophysiological signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for calibration of a system for measuring an electrophysiological signal generated by a biological tissue (2) a method for correction of an electrophysiological signal measured by a system.
