The method comprises exposing a textile reinforcement element (R) to a plasma flow (42) generated, using a plasma torch (26), from a gas including an oxidizing component at atmospheric pressure. The plasma is a standard cold plasma. The plasma torch comprises an exit orifice (52) of the plasma flow made to run into surfaces to be treated of the textile element relative to the plasma flow at a mean velocity (V) and a distance (D) between the orifice and the surfaces such that the mean velocity is given by V= -5.D+110, where the distance is 10 mm, and the mean velocity is 30 m/minutes. The method comprises exposing a textile reinforcement element (R) to a plasma flow (42) generated, using a plasma torch (26), from a gas including an oxidizing component at atmospheric pressure. The plasma is a standard cold plasma. The plasma torch comprises an exit orifice (52) of the plasma flow made to run into surfaces to be treated of the textile element relative to the plasma flow at a mean velocity (V) and a distance (D) between the orifice and the surfaces such that the mean velocity is given by V= -5.D+110, where the distance is 10 mm, and the mean velocity is 30 m/minutes. The method further comprises covering the textile element with an adhesive subsequent to exposing the textile element to the plasma flow. The adhesive is of thermohardening type.
