The cover (1) has an envelope (5) providing an open configuration for installation of the cover around a hair-curler and a closed configuration around the cover. The envelope includes a reinforcement (2) and a skin (3) made of material different from that of the reinforcement, where the cover is configured to assure the maintenance of the envelope in the closed configuration for covering the envelope according to non zero covering widths. The envelope includes end sectors (31-33) articulated around parallel articulation axles to allow flat deployment of the envelope in the open configuration. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating hair.
