The method involves storing generated power by using a storage part i.e. traction battery. Autonomy of an extension cable is controlled (E2) such that auxiliary power is higher than or equal to minimal power. Electrical accessories are operated when the generated power is higher than the power stored in the storage part. An un-ballasting process is carried out (E4) when the generated power is not completely consumed. The autonomy of the extension cable is controlled such that auxiliary power is below the minimal power.
