Water-soluble film comprises a thickener, a plasticizer, a gelling agent and a texturizing agent. Independent claims are included for: (1) fabricating the water-soluble film comprising mixing the components to obtain a film forming composition, spreading the composition, and drying the composition to obtain the water-soluble film, where the mixing step comprises dissolving the gelling agent in an aqueous solution (S1) at a temperature of higher than 25[deg] C, dissolving the texturizing agent in an aqueous solution (S2) at a temperature that is higher than a room temperature, mixing the solutions for obtaining solution (S3), adding the plasticizer in the solution (S3), and adding the thickener in the solution (S3) for obtaining the film forming composition; (2) the film forming composition comprising the thickener, the plasticize, the gelling agent and the texturizing agent for the fabrication of water-soluble film; and (3) a package comprising the film.
