The device (10) has a set of water sensors (2, 2') that is located at two different levels. A processing unit (3) and a remote communication unit (4) are arranged in a case (1), where the device remotely alerts a rise and/or presence or absence of water to the users. The analysis unit is provided in communication with the sensors so as to determine increase in speed of water or reduction in level of water with regard to time. A speed, displacement and direction of water are calculated with regard to time.
