The system has an intervention barge (10) comprising a barge structure (20) that comprises a receiving compartment (22) whose size corresponds to that of compartment (18) of a floating platform (14). An end (24) is rolled at an end of the compartment of the platform. A stowage unit stows the structure to a structure (16) of the platform. A control unit controls immersion level of the barge structure to allow successively stowing of the barge to the platform. The unit controls the level for alignment of the compartments and transfers floats (12) of the platform toward the barge or conversely. An independent claim is also included for a method for extracting or inserting a float in a compartment of floating platform.
