Method for controlling robotized gear box of e.g. car, involves calculating wheel torque and determining reduction ratio to provide anticipated torque by considering resources of engine and resistant efforts anticipated at target speed
The method involves considering a target speed set point to be reached by a vehicle, and calculating (102) anticipated resistant efforts (CRESANT) at target speed. A set point of an anticipated torque i.e. wheel torque (CREGULANT), which is required to accelerate the vehicle from current speed at the target speed, is calculated (103) based on the resistant efforts at target speed. Reduction ratio is determined (104) to provide the anticipated torque by considering resources of thermal engine and the resistant efforts anticipated at the target speed. An independent claim is also included for a car.
