PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stalk that enables pressure-stabilized molten metal to be supplied to a metal mold by suppressing a fluctuation in a molten metal surface of the molten metal after passage through a filter part, a method of manufacturing the stalk, a casting apparatus, and a casting method.;SOLUTION: A stalk according to one aspect of an embodiment includes a pipe part and a filter part. Within the pipe part, a channel through which molten metal flows is formed. The filter part is provided in the channel. Additionally, the filter part is extended along a flow direction of the molten metal in the channel, and its length in an extension direction is greater than its length in a direction perpendicular to the extension direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
