PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which eliminates the need for complicated calculation processes to analyze biological information, and is capable of analyzing and evaluating brain waves by a simplified configuration.;SOLUTION: A brain wave signal acquisition unit 1 acquires a brain wave signal. A bandpass filter 2 extracts signal data of the band of interest from the acquired brain wave signal. From the acquired signal data of the band of interest, an arithmetic processing unit 6 determines, in a window of a preset time width, the parameters of a nonlinear oscillator such that an error function which is a difference between the signal data value and the value of a simulated nonlinear oscillator becomes smallest, to evaluate the characteristics of the brain wave signal on the basis of the time change characteristics of a parameter exhibiting nonlinearity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
