DOCUMENT FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND DOCUMENT FILE MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management system without erroneously reading correspondence between a date and a version and capable of retrieving a table of content and a version of a document file from a hysteresis and browsing a hierarchic structure of the table of content of the version retrieved from the hysteresis and the content of the document file.SOLUTION: The document file management system of the present invention includes: document/table of content identification information for identifying a table of content of a document and a document file; parent table of content identification information which is subordinate document/table of content identification information; a version; a version table showing a correspondence with disclosure dates of the table of content and the document file; a version/date retrieval unit for retrieving a table of content and a document file which are the newest in version at a date designated for retrieval and the newest in disclosed date in the version table and totalizing the retrieved table of content and document file, respectively; and a tree structure retrieval unit for extracting subordinate relations between the table of content and the document file from the totalization result and constituting a tree structure to be displayed in a display screen.
