PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fractionating a composite fluorescent material usable as a sensor for quantitative environmental measurements and a fraction of a composite fluorescent material.;SOLUTION: A method of fractionating a composite fluorescent material includes: a composite fluorescent material formation step of synthesizing a composite fluorescent material composed of a semiconductor quantum dot fluorescent material and an organic molecule capable of causing fluorescence resonance energy transfer between the semiconductor quantum dot fluorescent material and the molecule, bonded together from a first view point; and a fractionation step of fractionating the composite fluorescent material by chromatography. In the fractionation step, there is applied such an amount of the composite fluorescent material as to secure the condition that the ratio of the organic molecule to the semiconductor quantum dot fluorescent material in a fraction fractionated by chromatography changes as the elution area increases.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
