PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a catheter for an OCT apparatus and the catheter for the OCT apparatus capable of suppressing manufacturing costs while reducing work time and reducing fracture of a fusion-splicing portion between a short length optical fiber and interior body side optical fiber.;SOLUTION: A catheter 1A for an OCT apparatus comprises: an interior body 10 which has an optical fiber built-in and is to be inserted into a human body; a metal tube 20 for guiding the interior body 10; and an optical connector unit 30. The optical connector unit 30 includes a ferrule assembly including a short length optical fiber and a ferrule fixed on the side of one end of the short length optical fiber, and is to be connected to a rotary joint of the OCT apparatus.
