PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material capable of absorbing CO and COwhich enables the reduction of the quantity of gas (CO, CO, and nitrogen gas) generated inside an enclosure of a power storage device; a method for producing such a material; and a power storage device having such a material filled therein.SOLUTION: A material capable of absorbing CO and COis filled in a battery case 3 of a lithium ion battery E having a positive electrode terminal 1, a negative electrode terminal 2, and a nonaqueous electrolyte enclosed in the battery case 3 (enclosure) together. The material capable of absorbing CO and COcomprises: A-type or LSX-type zeolite having undergone a degassing treatment and a moisturizing treatment for moisturizing the surface with the nonaqueous electrolyte before the filling.
