PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artery visualization method for suitably visualizing an artery to be punctured, an artery visualization apparatus, and an artery imaging apparatus used for the artery visualization apparatus.SOLUTION: An artery visualization method uses an artery visualization apparatus 10 which includes: an irradiation section 30 for emitting near infrared light emitted from a light source 32 to irradiate a skin surface 22 at the back side of a visualization site 20 in which an artery 21 to be punctured is running; a light guide section 40 which encapsulates the light source, is applied onto the back side skin surface, and is made of a material that allows the near infrared light emitted from the light source to pass through and curbs the reflection of the near infrared light on the back side skin surface; an optical filter 50; a camera 60 (imaging section); and a monitor 70 (display section). Consequently, by applying the artery visualization device onto the back side skin surface, a capillary network is collapsed to visualize the artery to be punctured.
