PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging machine that continuously performs skin packing of packaged articles received in a tray at high speed, and to provide a skin pack method.;SOLUTION: A packaging machine includes a pressure resistance chamber 18 comprising a bottom board 14 and a lid material 17, in which the bottom board 14 goes around an elliptic orbit, the lid material 17 rotating on a circular orbit overlapping with a portion of the elliptic orbit is hung over the bottom board 14, and air in the pressure resistance chamber 18 is sucked to generate a vacuum environment. The packaging machine is characterized by: disposing a temporary sealing/trimming device 60 for temporarily sealing a cover film on a straight line conveyance section at the entrance side of the elliptic orbit in which the bottom board 14 moves to make an air passage 34 while leaving a portion of a tray 19 as non-welding part, and performing trimming of the cover film of the tray 19; and performing the skin packing of packaged articles by welding the temporarily sealed cover film on the tray 19 using the temporary sealing/trimming device 60 including the air passage in the pressure resistance chamber 18 under the vacuum environment and returning the inside of the pressure resistance chamber 18 to the atmosphere.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
