PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a more proper follow travel corresponding to a surrounding situation.;SOLUTION: A follow travel controller sets a target inter-vehicle distance Dt for following a preceding vehicle Ca, and controls a travel of one's own vehicle Co so as to achieve the target inter-vehicle distance Dt. When having detected a lateral vehicle Cs traveling on an adjacent lane, the follow travel controller determines whether or not the own vehicle Co is positioned in a dead angle Bs of the lateral vehicle Cs. Even if the lateral vehicle Cs performs a lane change to one's own lane from the adjacent lane when having determined that the own vehicle Co is positioned in the dead angle Bs of the lateral vehicle Cs, the follow travel controller determines whether or not the own vehicle Co can evacuate from approach of the lateral vehicle Cs. When having determined that the own vehicle Co is positioned in the dead angle Bs of the lateral vehicle Cs, the follow travel controller sets the target inter-vehicle distance Dt according to a determination result of an evacuation determination part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
