When having detected a lateral vehicle Cs traveling on an adjacent lane, the follow travel controller determines whether or not the own vehicle Co is positioned in a dead angle Bs of the lateral vehicle Cs. Even if the lateral vehicle Cs performs a lane change to one's own lane from the adjacent lane when having determined that the own vehicle Co is positioned in the dead angle Bs of the lateral vehicle Cs, the follow travel controller determines whether or not the own vehicle Co can evacuate from approach of the lateral vehicle Cs.
