PROGNOSIS OF BREAST CANCER PATIENT BY OBSERVATION OF EXPRESSION OF TWO GENES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for classifying into high recurrence risk or low recurrence risk after removal of primary tumor of breast cancer.;SOLUTION: A method includes: a step of detecting a gene expression level of a cyclin G2 (gene ID=901) in a sample of breast cancer cells; a step of comparing a gene expression level of the detected cyclin G2 with an average gene expression level of the cyclin G2 in a large number of reference breast cancer cell samples from patients having recurrence of breast cancer and/or patients having no recurrence of breast cancer; and a step of determining that the breast cancer cells derive from patients having high recurrence risk of cancer, in the case where the gene expression level of the detected cyclin G2 in the breast cancer cells is not higher than the gene expression level of the cyclin G2 in the reference breast cancer cell samples from patients having recurrence of breast cancer and/or in the case where the gene expression level of the cyclin G2 in the breast cancer cells is lower than the gene expression level of the cyclin G2 in the reference breast cancer cell samples from patients having no recurrence of breast cancer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
