PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coating film excellent in designability by using colored coating material particles and to provide a coated article having high designability obtained by the method.;SOLUTION: The method for forming the coating film is characterized by comprising: a process (1) in which a surfacer coating material (I) is applied onto at least a part of a surface to be coated and then is dried so that solid content in a surfacer coating film is 85 mass%; a process (2) in which a surfacer coating material (II), which forms a coating film with color difference ΔE of ≥7 to the coating film formed by the surfacer coating material (I), is applied onto at least a part of a coated plate obtained by the process (1) by using a pressing tool and then is dried to form a coating film with a blurring pattern; and a process (4) in which a colored coating material particle-containing coating material (III) is applied onto the coated plate having the coating film with the blurring pattern obtained by the process (2) and is dried.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
