PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication path design apparatus that designs a redundant communication path leading to higher reliability of an entire network when designing a redundant communication path in a plurality of subnetworks (NW) into which the entire network is divided.;SOLUTION: The communication path design apparatus for designing a redundant communication path in a communication network includes: communication network information storage means storing communication network information indicating the configuration of the communication network; path candidate calculation means for calculating physical paths that are candidate paths for a prescribed number of communication paths or all the communication paths by reference to the communication network information stored in the communication network information storage means; and communication path output means for outputting, as redundant communication path information, information about candidate paths left over from the deletion, from all the candidate paths, of those involving any of fiber overlap in which the same fiber is included in a plurality of paths, node overlap in which the same node is included in a plurality of paths, and line overlap in which the same line is included in a plurality of paths.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
