PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultra high sensitivity weight sensor and an ultra high sensitivity weight sensing system suitable for sensing weight in the order of grams.;SOLUTION: An ultra high sensitivity sensor 10 includes: a case 12 having a bottom section 12a and a side section 12b made of an insulator; a conductor column 14 provided near the center of the upper face of the bottom section 12a; elastic insulator spacers 16 provided surrounding the column 14 on the upper face of the bottom section 12a; and a panel electrode 18 located inside the side section 12b to face the column 14 and supported by the spacers 16. The panel electrode 18 has a conductive layer 18b at least on the side facing the column 14, and the conductive layer 18b comes into contact with the column 14 only when a weight that is equal to or more than a preset magnitude is applied on the panel electrode 18. An ultra high sensitivity weight sensing system has an external instrument 20 which detects conduction between the column 14 and the panel electrode 18 of the ultra high sensitivity weight sensor 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
